![]() On my 2nd day found the fridge off again and at 59 degrees, not sure how long so had to throw out food and instead got to spend extra money at a park restaurant (a win for Xanterra). I was anxious to get food into the fridge but it was off/not cold. The front desk staff were nice and I felt bad that they were put in this position by management. Finally got into the room at 7 along with so many other frustrated people. Went back at 4:15, waited in line for 30 min while everyone was turned away and told housekeeping wasn’t done yet, come back at some point, couldn’t say when. Tried to check in early at 3 but was told housekeeping wasn’t done yet, come back at 4. Not much room inside cabin in which to put suitcases (mainly because of the wood-burning heater/stove) but we managed by hanging towels and hangers with clothes from wooden beams on ceiling. We’re a family of four and had 2 double beds in our small cabin. You feel like you are camping but without the hassle of setting up and taking down a tent. Even though we were staying at a cabin right next to this restaurant, we chose to drive an hour to other places to eat at least while in the car you might see some wildlife along the way.Ĭabins: very basic and rustic (as expected) but comfortable enough. Our time while at Yellowstone was too precious to waste waiting so long for food to arrive or a check to be printed out. Portions tend to be on the small side too. Most of the food was decent quality but service very lacking. We ate here 3 times during a 7-day stay and were not very impressed.
